JCT Intermediate Contract 2016 with Contractors Design

The refurbishment and alterations to existing teaching and office space to create simulation spaces, lecture spaces for the training of forensic science. The new build construction of a vehicle access road and car park including Gabion retaining wall.

The works were completed in two phases and included the strip out of existing partition walls, ceilings, floor finishes, fire doors, M&E installations.

New installations included fire rated metal stud partitions, automated aluminium entrance doors, laminate faced internal fire door-sets and ironmongery, suspended ceilings, extensive redecoration to both new and existing partitions, vinyl and carpet floor finishes throughout, contractor designed M&E installations comprising of new air conditioning, new ducted ventilation, LED lighting, new switchgear, power, door access controls, intruder alarm, fire alarm and CAT 6 data installations. FF&E comprising of window blinds, client simulation suites including prison cell equipment – bed, WC & WHB, chair, cupboards, writing desks, custody suite benching, custody suite reception desk, fully fitted out simulation kitchen and bathrooms.
